“INNI” è il secondo film documentario dei Sigur Ròs, che segue quello ampiamente celebrato del 2007, “Heima”. Laddove il primo film poneva l’enigmatico gruppo nel contesto della natia Islanda, dando prospettive geografiche, sociali e storiche sulla loro musica soprannaturale, con risultati di crescita, “INNI”, si concentra esclusivamente sulle performance della band che sono abilmente e intimamente colte dal regista franco-canadese Vincent Morisset (Arcade Fire -“Mirror Noir”). Intrecciando il materiale d’archivio dei primi dieci anni della band, a volte con trame sottili, a volte riprendendo gli intensi concerti, “INNI” è una descrizione persuasiva di una delle più celebrati e influenti rock band degli ultimi anni.

INNI is Sigur Rós’s second live film following 2007′s hugelycelebrated “Heima”. Whereas that film positioned the enigmatic group in the context of their Icelandic homeland, providing geographical, social and historical perspectives on their otherworldly music, with uplifting results, “INNI” focusses purely on the band’s performance, which is artfully and intimately captured by French-Canadian director Vincent Morisset (Arcade Fire’s “Miroir Noir”).

Interweaving archive material from the band’s first ten years with the sometimes gossamer light, sometimes punishingly intense, concert footage, “INNI” is a persuasive account of one of the most celebrated and influential rock bands of recent years.

Vincent Morisset è nato a Montreal. Regista, programmista, inventore è alla ricerca di nuovi modi per raccontare storie. Sin dall’uscita dell’album “Funeral”, Vincent ha collaborato con gli Arcade Fire. Il video interattivo di “Neon Bible” è considerato da molti come il primo video musicale interattivo. Vincent ha anche diretto il loro documentario “Mirror Noir” e sviluppato “Synchronised Artwork” per l’album “The Suburbs” che ha cambiato il modo in cui si presentano i sussidi visivi relativi agli album digitali. Il suo lavoro è stato celebrato da “Wired”, “Creative Review”, ”Pitchfork”, ”Fast Company”, “Variety”, ”Le Monde” e “The Guardian”, per citare i più conosciuti. Recentemente, Vincent ha diretto un video di danza interattivo per gli Arcade Fire (sprawl2.com), BLA BLA (blabla.nfb.ca), un film sperimentale per computer e “INNI”, film sulla band islandese Sigur Ròs. Vincent è il fondatore di AATOAA, un ente specializzato in progetti di mentalità aperta.


Vincent Morisset was born in Montreal. Director, programmer, inventor, he is looking for new ways to tell stories. Since the release of the Funeral album, Vincent has been collaborating with Arcade Fire. The interactive video for Neon Bible is considered by many as the first interactive music video. Vincent also directed their documentary MIROIR NOIR and developped the Synchronised Artwork for the album “The Suburbs” which change the way we present visuals related to digital albums. His work has been showcased in Wired, Creative Review, Pitchfork, Fast Company, Variety, Le Monde and The Guardian among others. Recently, Vincent directed a dance activated interactive video for Arcade Fire (sprawl2.com), BLA BLA (blabla.nfb.ca), an experimental film for computer, and INNI, a feature film on the icelandic band Sigur Ros. Vincent is founder of AATOAA, an entity specialized in open-minded projects.
